Here is a rare Antique 19th century Vienna bronze Manchester Terrier or Miniature Pinscher dog.This bronze shows a seated Manchester Terrier that dates from the 19th century. The Vienna bronzes are known for different and rare breeds of dogs and this is the first one I have seen of a Manchester Terrier. The dog is just about 2 inches tall, he shows a fair amount of paint wear and his front legs are a little bent but he sits well.Manchester terriers were popular in England during the 19th century and were used as rat catchers. A rare breed not often seen in artwork. This fellow also could be a Miniature Pinscher.A rare antique Vienna bronze dog offered at a reasonable price, this little fellow won’t bark and does not need training to sit and stay!This bronze will be well packed and insured so that he arrives safely.
