Description:

We are very pleased to be able to offer this Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Schoolhouse Floor Model RCA Victor XXV Talking Machine Phonograph with Original Stencils & the Rare Quarter Sawn Oak All Wood Horn. Based on the serial number (12216) this machine is from 1919 and it was distributed into the school systems. This unique phonograph measures approx. 60\" tall x 19\" wide x 27\" deep & it all appears to be working properly & came with some records that will be included with this phonograph ~ our daughter did not take pictures of the records because I did not think that would be an important issue. This schoolhouse model machine has a cute bottom shelf that folds up to store the rare valuable horn & keep it safe while not in use ~ & this bell horn has a diameter of almost 22\". There is also a little shelf that pulls out in the front for temporary location to store records. The earliest versions had a non-removable lid, but the design was soon upgraded so that the lid could be removed & hung on the back of the machine, which is what this lid does on this model. This \"schoolhouse\" model came with a lockable lid to keep small hands from damaging the turntable & tone arm components. This cabinet is made of quarter sawn oak & was fashioned in such a way to be moved around conveniently. Its condition is quite amazing with slight insignificant veneer issues on one side & also on the lower hinged shelf that stores the horn (best viewed in picture 6) & we mention this for accuracy sake only.
