If you have corals or many filter feeding creatures than this is the productyou arelooking for! Similar to shelf bought phytoplankton except that this is actually LIVE! The phytoplankton is Nannochloropsis Oculata and is very nutritional to your reef inhabitants. This specie is high in EPA, Vitamins B12 and C, high in proteins and Omega 3. All of these are very important to the health of many marine animals.

Many shelf bought foods are not refrigerated, nor is the stock turned. Many of the microalgaes instore boughtbottles are dead. The Phytoplankton you are offerding on here is 100% alive!,

We\'ve seen sales on that have been fertilized with miracle grow. We only use a scientific recipe formulated by Guillard. Because 7 days is the amount of time it takes Nannochloropsis to reach is mature stages and is ideal for dosing into tanks. Each bottle is also shipped with its own storage instructions as well as recommended dosing instructions.

Algae density can be gauged by the visibility in the bottle. As you can see this bottle is not transparent and represents phytoplankton at the most ideal stage of growth. The phytoplankton you purchase from us has not been subject to any open air or contaminate source from the moment it is grown to the moment it is packed in food grade UV protected bottles.

This bottle will keep well in a refrigerator for at least 3 months, as long as stock is turned daily. This prevents the phytoplankton from falling out of suspension and collecting on the bottom, and further dying off. ( Hence the dead cultures in shelf bought phytoplankton. )
