Excel Industries (Hustler) launched this mower in 2010 and only sold them for a few years. It has been an exceptionally good mower.
The batteries are about 3 years old.
The system operates on 48 volts DC, which is (4) 12 volt batteries in series.
It has a AC induction motor coupled to the gearbox on each rear tire. It has approx 500 ft-lbs of torque on each tire.
The deck is powered with two two brushless DC motors that direct drive each blade. It is a 42 inch deck.
Also comes with the original battery charger.
