- Welcome -Offering for sale is one 21mm Horstmann Bros & Co PhiI High Domed USMC US Marine Corps Eagle Anchor Uniform Button Pre Indian Wars? Sale is for one 6mm tall gilt high 21mm wide domed button. We found this in a large Marine Corp button collection that we are selling. We have several in the same condition for sale. It is in excellent condition - Light usage wear and patina; the shanks are strong and sturdy. Stamped Horstmann Bros & Co Phil with a dot in-between and two concentric circles around the shank. References we checked say back-mark "HORSTMANN BROS & CO. / PHILA " dates to 1859-1863; but notice, these just say PHIL so maybe they are 1864 to 1865? These are solid brass but the shanks are also soldered.
