This knife for sale is a1992 issue Case Classic Genuine Stag Bullet Trapper Prototype, 4 3/8" closed, featuring the fabulous matching Genuine Stag (deer stag) scales and the pinned nickel silver Case Bowtie shield.

The master Drop Point Skinner blade and the Spey blades are stamped with Case Bradford, PA. 19 USA 92, while the rear tang of the master Drop Point blade is pattern stamped with Tested XX 5223. The rear side of the Drop Point Skinner blade is engraved with "Prototype" and both blades have very good "walk and talk" snap.
What makes this knife a Case Classic Prototype, is that it has 2 different eras represented, AND it wasn't released this way when it was put into production. It has the Case Bradford, PA era tang stamping and master blade etch, while it has the Case Brothers era Bowtie shield.
