British Army G.P.M.G. Mount - Daimler Ferret Turret - Brand-New, Never Issued:
$305.00

ITEM DESCRIPTIONYou are looking at a Genuine British Military Machine Gun Turret Mount for the G.P.M.G (General Purpose Machine Gun), Part No. F.V. 665160 This weapon, often referred to as \"The Gimpy\" by British Army personnel, was the modern replacement for the venerable Browning .30 Caliber Machine Gun and the old Bren gun, and the G.P.M.G is still the current LMG (Light Machine Gun) of the British Military. It is used on virtually all British Army vehicles, mounted in fixed positions, and carried by hand into battle or on patrols by ground and airborne troops. This mount was used on virtually every Ferret I ever saw a photo of in the Gulf War conflicts. This mount is brand-new and has never been used. If your Ferret or other British Army vehicle with the same turret does not have a MG mount this will bolt right in. If you want to upgrade your Ferret with the G.P.M.G. you need this mount as it is different from the mount for the Browning, although they look similar. I would also like to add that this mount CAN be MODIFIED to accept the Browning .30 caliber MG. I personally know of two individuals who have had this done, they report that you take your Browning and the mount to a good machine shop and they can modify it for you. This mount DOES NOT include the large recoil pad which came with the mount but I have seen them readily available from military vehicle dealers in the UK. *This is the last one I have, after it\'s gone there will be no more!* I purchased this for my own Daimler Ferret Armored Car but never installed it. I am in the process of selling off my Ferret and my Austin Champ along with the spare parts and equipment I\'ve collected over the years since 1992.
Please feel free to ask any questions you like or to ask for additional photos. *IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR OVERSEAS buyers*
I feel it is my duty and responsibility to warn you that this item may be labeled as \"restricted\" by the GSP (Global Shipping Program). This is not the first G.P.M.G. mount that I have sold on ; the first one, sale number 201521269128, was purchased by a buyer in Australia. It never made it out of the United States and was confiscated by \'s GSP. Although I was allowed to keep the funds from the sale and the buyer was given a full refund by , he and I were nonetheless disappointed. Obviously, he was anxious to get the mount for his Ferret and I wanted to see the mount go to a good home but it was not to be. Later on I discovered that takes items that have been confiscated and they list them for sale on their own store. So, if you live outside the United States, please check your countries laws and regulations regarding this type of item.Low Starting offer
