Contents include: Introduction by Leonidas Betts; Essay by Charles Zug; Bibliography; List of Interviews; and Checklist. The Checklist contains listings of 212 different pieces, with very brief details given for each such as name, dimensions, type of glaze and if unmarked. It states all objects are from a private collection. Features examples of Jars, Jugs, Monkeys Jugs, Urn, Pitchers, Swirl Ware, Face Jugs, Wig Stands with Faces, Etc. Burlon Craig (1914-2002) of Vale, North Carolina, was one of the last of the folk potters working in the Catawba Valley.
