Offered here is a restoredAtwater Kentfive tube radio manufacturedcirca 1936.

CHASSIS:This radio istotally restored electronically to original factory specifications and cosmetically as close to original as possible.The chassis has been bench tested and all defective and substandard out of tolerance components have been replaced. Allelectrolytic and paper capacitorsare routinelyreplaced with high qualityfactory new capacitors.Other components including but not limited to tubes, controls,and resistors were tested and replaced if found to be faulty in any way. AC power cord is new. All replacement components are factory new except tubes which may be used orNOS test good.Any original above chassiscapacitors that are no longer in use are disconnected from the circuitbut left in place for original looking display. The speaker is original in excellent condition. A linefuse has been added under the chassis forovercurrent protection which is an industry standard for modern electronic equipment. All new replacement components are installed under the chassis out of view.All controls and the dial function perfectly. After completion of electronic restoration the chassis was professionally realigned and calibrated for optimum performance. The radio was then placed in continuous operation for three periods of 8 hours or more eachto insure reliability. This radio functions as it did when new andis suitable for regular use.

CABINET: The cabinet has been totally restored. All old finish was removed and any and allstructural issues with the cabinet were professionally addressed making the cabinet structurally as good as new or better. The cabinet was then cleaned andrefinished inside and out with multiple coats of state of the art materials formulated to matchthe original lacquer finish asclosely as possible while creating a finish that is much morescratch and stainresistant thantheoriginal finish.The entire cabinetistotallyfree of dents and scratches looks and smellslike new.No dirt, smoke or musty odors. No loose joints or veneers. No missing parts. Original nobs arein excellent condition. Dial scaleis originalfully clear and readable.

WARRANTY; This item is accurately described vintage electronics sold as is but it is guaranteed to give satisfactory like newperformance. In the unlikely event that problems develop in the first90 days after the saleall parts and labor to repair the radiowill be provided free of charge. This warranty covers the entire radio, not just new parts. Problems caused byaccident, abuse,or alteration by buyer excluded.
