ANTIQUE MINIATURE PINSCHER COPELAND PARIAN VASE PLANTER For Sale -

I have searched everywhere and finally found a Copeland Parian with a Miniature Pinscher in the exact same position looking to be of the same mold except the tail may be a little lower. The dog is looking into the same type hole at a rabbit but that piece is a figurine. Ours is a vase planter. The artist of the piece I found was Mene, Pierre Jules who made the original wax model about 1855. Copeland & Co. made that piece 1860-75 in Stoke-on-Trent. The piece we have has a tree stump vase or planter with a Pinscher lookinginto a hole at a trapped scared rabbit. The vase planter is in very good condition except for a chip and crack on the dogs tail. Copeland is impressed on the base directly under the dog. It is almost impossible to see. This was purchased from Roger Thomas ltd. Antiques and canine collectables in mid 1980\'s for our Min Pin collection. Measures 5 1/2 inches tall, nearly 6 inches wide, weighs1 pounds, 11 ounces.
