The Dwarf Cerith Snail is a major algae consumer and a beneficial addition to any saltwater aquarium system. We have used these snails in our tanks for years for their ability to eat many forms of nuisance algae. Dwarf Cerith Snails are not very fast movers, so please be patient with them when you receive them. Because of their wide range of appetite we do not recommend them for reef tanks even though we have not witnessed any negative reef destruction but better safe then sorry. These are warm water conchs that wont shock from typical saltwater aquarium temps! 76 - 84 degrees. Other species may be from cold water climates and will not acclimate to average tropical saltwater temps.Basic care.. Simply install them and let them go to work. Other than that, care is very easy. Your 500 Dwarf Cerith Snails will be about 3/8\" each and will be sent in wet towling to keep them closed tight until introduction to water. Use standard drip acclimation.
