A brand new beautiful Roman Pugio dagger/hunting knife and scabbard that is 15\" in overall length. The polished stainless steel 8-1/2\" double edged sharpened blade has beautiful golden overlays of Roman soldiers on both sides. The cast metal \"Jeweled\" handle and the metal scabbard are finished in antique gold and silver. The last photo shows a slight scratch apparently from original shipment, otherwise in excellent shape. Please see all photos.The dagger was a common weapon of assassination and suicide. The conspirators who stabbed Julius Caesar used Pugiones.
