These premium Cholla pieces have been well cleaned - NO SOAPS, NO DETERGENTS, NO CHEMICALS. Most pieces are smooth to the touch. IF you will be using the Cholla in aquariums, they are Aquarium Ready. And compared to normal Cholla stock, these thicker pieces will also last the longest in a submerged aquarium environment. Boiling the pieces in hot water (to make the pieces sink faster) is optional.All Cholla will eventually sink in water.
