Made in the USA, when we actually made our own stuff. Vintage 1930sa General Electric Iron with a thumb rest, original cord and a wooden handle.Found in the house of a shop-a-holic its another one of those irons that encouraged the invention of permanent press clothing. At 6 1/2 pounds one gains a lot of respect for the women of that time. A terrific addition to a collection of early 20th century electric appliances.
