Coat Type, Color & Grooming:
Siamese cats are always cream colored, with different colored "points" -- the face, ears, tail, and feet. Points may be seal, chocolate, blue, or lilac.
Physical Attributes:
Medium sized; sinuous, muscular body; long, tapering head with almond-shaped eyes; long, tapered tail; very short coat.
Personality:
Very intelligent and talkative; unpredictable moods; usually chooses one person to whom it will express affection.

I am the most sociable kitty in existence. I will carry on a two-way conversation (meowing right on que- if you talk to me). I will follow you everywhere in the home and cuddle unusually close to you, but only when I choose to! My love is like no other kitty in existence trust and believe! I am worth it!
Lola the Siamese-She is amazed daily at her lithe and energetic self. She greets me when I come home by running on her back legs and hugging my calf. She scolds me with very expressive meows for leaving her alone while I’m at work. She sleeps near my face at night (when she isn’t playing) and purrs and meows to let me know how much she misses her mother. as she was found by the Humane Society at only 4 wks old. She watches from the window as I soak in my hot tub and tells me about what I missed when I come back inside. The Siamese is the most vocal cat I’ve ever known, loving, independent and knowing.
If you ever want a unique breed of cat, that will never give you a dull moment in your life: get a Siamese. Mine travels in the car with me everywhere! Very talkative, affectionate, and always want to be with you. I even took mine to the hospital to visit family…he lightened up the faces of everyone there. He walks on a leash, and everyone took turns.
We have a Siamese named Rosco. He is our 3rd cat. He is by far, the most entertaining and lovable cat that we have ever met. He is very affectionate. He comes when when you ask him to… and he will stay with you for hours. He follows us around the house and often tries to be a part of things that we do. Rosco goes to the bus stop with me and sees my son onto the bus each day and then follows me home. He talks to us often and he will tell you when he wants something. He’s more active and curious than our previous cats. He sometimes figures out things that I would rather he did not know. Like getting into my drawers and cabinets. He is a really great cat.
I’m bossy, vocal and demanding. I live indoors because there are too many wild animals outside and human Mommy has got her day cut out for her as I need soooo much stimulation. Lucky for me she stopped work a year ago so I get to play lots! If I want feeding/cuddling/playtime (delete where appropriate) I walk up to where Mommy is, lie flat on my back and miaow till she gets up and does what is required of her. If Mommy goes out, I am not impressed and upon her return, she must stroke and scratch my back until I am satisfied that she will remain with me. Oh and, by the way I’m so handsome it’s almost scary!! But you didn’t need telling that, right?

I recently got a pair of Siamese female kittens, sisters. I’ve had cats for 60 years. As many as 5 at the same time all unrelated. Usually they were shelter cats or strays.
Getting back to my girls, Sophie and Missy (about 6 months now), they are the most affectionate cats. They are so willing to come up onto my lap and kiss and snuggle and wash me. Sophie literally puts her little nose right on my mouth to kiss. I have never in all my cat years experienced the devotion.
The only thing that is missing is that they are not vocal. They cry when they can’t find their other. I wonder if they will become more vocal when they are matured. I am looking forward to sharing my life and home with them. I intend to get them comfortable to riding in the car and walking on a leash. Wow, I am going to have so much fun
My beautiful Siamese *Simon-Love* has NO voice. He has never meowed….ever. He is THE most loving Siamese I have ever had, and I’ve had a total of 6 Siamese in my life. He is so quiet that I’ve even stepped on him several times even though he has a collar with a bell. He is 6 years old and I got him from a woman who could not afford to care for him any longer. He came to me with ear mites, fleas & a bad case of gingivitis. He was recently diagnosed with asthma and is on a steroid. He is a beautiful cat but overweight(16#) and we’re working on that, but it’s difficult to interact & play with him because he gets so winded. He will be having his teeth cleaned & polished within the next 2 weeks. He loves to be thrown over my shoulder while I walk around with him there.

Siamese are the most loyal cats I have ever owned. I have a blue point female and blue point male crossed with himalayan. they are wonderful. I aslo have a blue russian and 2 big dogs, its amazing how the siamese adapted to my dogs so quickly. they are the best I love the grey ones the most, but it would be nice to find a siamese in pure black or pure white anyone know of where i could get a black one or white one with no color points??
We have had many cats of several types during our 58 year marriage. The Siamese cats have been the most fun. They are generally very low maintenance but quite social and very intelligent. Although many people are of the opinion that Siamese cats are "mean" or "evil", none of ours (we’ve had four) have been anything but devoted and loving. They accomodate other pets well, especially dogs.(LINEBREAK) However, we have known people who had "mean" Siamese. Our observations were that in every case of aggressive or antisocial behavior in a Siamese, it was due to the way that they have been treated. They do not tolerate teasing well and if they are teased regularly, they will either hide in the presence of humans or they will become aggrtessive when humans enter their comfort zone.(LINEBREAK) Moral, the "Golden Rule" applies here as it does in most cases of relationships with humans or animals.(LINEBREAK)
Of the 11 cats I have owned in my life, 10 have been Siamese or Oriental Shorthairs. I have observed a wide range of temperament among them, from brash/outgoing to reclusive/shy, but never mean or aggressive. Regardless of how outgoing or shy they are with outsiders, they are universally sympathetic with their owners: affectionate, active, talkative, clingy, cuddly and funny. They retrieve better than many dogs and follow you around like puppies. My first cat was a Siamese and I have been a loyal fan of the breed since. You can’t control them, and they are not good for authoritarian owners. If you enjoy a cat that views you as its equal, this is your breed.
The contributor who is looking for solid white or black Siamese is really looking for a white or ebony oriental shorthair. Contemporary Siamese and oriental only differ by one gene, and that’s the one that controls color restriction to the points. Those who have pointed cats of mixed lineage may or may not experience the temperament referred to here. After all many breeds have points (Himalayan, Birman, Tonkinese, Snowshoe, Ragdoll, Burmese) but not all are "Siamese" in temperament or body type. As for Orientals: they ARE quite vocal, active, goofy, just the same as their pointed relatives. I own a chocolate and a lilac pointed Siamese and an Ebony and a Blue&white bicolor Oriental. It’s a lively group!
