On Saturday, December 6th 2003, we lost our beloved Mudgie. She was the most special bird and valued part of our family. Her days were spent ringing bells, munching on millet and fresh vegetables, and bringing smiles to everyone who crossed her path. She could speak about 20 audible words and countless mumbles that would always keep us guessing. She would always make us laugh when she would see one of our cats and call, "Here Kitty Kitty Kitty!" When we put her to bed at night, she loved to play and say "peek-a-boo" with Sherry.
There is an unbearable silence in our house now. Our hearts are empty. But we are full of memories of Mudgie. She will always hold a special place in our hearts! We laid her to rest Sunday with her favorite toys, mirror, fresh seed, millet, and her favorite bells. She is buried next to our big oak tree, under the bird feeder so she can play and frolic with her wild bird friends. Mudgie is truly a Great and Small creature.
We love you deeply Mudgie and miss you terribly!
