HI there,
I have rescued a 5month old foal. He had got stuck in a gate and ripped his hind hock open pretty badly. The cut is healing beautifully thanks to antibiotics and manuka honey as subscribed by the vet.
Now both hind legs around fetlocks right down his pasterns are swollen which is bugging me as there is no heat or lameness.
ALso he has a little cough only now and again and has some mucus coming out of his nose but it is stringy once I’ve cleaned his nose out he is ok for a while.
Him in himself is a little quiet but can’t blame him ripped his leg open taken straight from his mother and now put in a stable.
He has been wormed and finished antibiotics.
I just want to help the little guy any suggestions???
If I have to I’ll call out the vet.
