Britti the Tabby Cat
21st May 1996 to 29th
December 2002
From Heather Heiden
Brittany, Britti, Arm Pitty,
BG, Baby Girl, Big Girl, and Brittany Marie when you were in
trouble! By whatever name you were called, you answered to them all.
For such a small creature, you had a big presence. You came into my
life when I needed you the most. You were a friend, a trusted
companion, a teacher, and a healer. You were my companion through
many tears and joys, you gave me comfort when I needed it and you
calmed my soul. I will miss your funny ways, your paw on my hand,
the way you would watch me put on my makeup every morning, the way
you would meow when you wanted the bathtub faucet turned on so you
could drink from it. I will miss your little love bites on my head
at 4:30am on a Saturday morning to wake me up because you were
hungry or wanted to play. I will miss waking up to little white
powdered doughnuts scattered across the floor because you snagged
the bag and had a little midnight snack. I will miss you staring at
me and meowing your 'I want to play' meow with a foam disk, rattling
mouse (with no tail since you always bite them off!) or your
favorite pompom mouse in your mouth. It's so hard to come home when
you aren't waiting for us at the door, meowing, rolling over and
showing us you spotted orange belly, expecting us to drop whatever
we had and give you tummy rubs...which we normally did. You were
such a good big sister to Zoë, she misses you and your snuggles so
much. I know in my heart you lived a good life- but I was not ready
to let you go so soon. You were so young yet, I have peace knowing
you are comfortable. I hope you know that I was by your side and
held you and loved you until your last breath. Britti Girl, know
that we love you so much, there is something missing in our home, it
just isn't the same without you. We will see each other again and
the many wonderful memories will fill the time between.
We love you Britti, rest in
peace. Love, Mommy & Daddy
