Lexyee the Mixed Breed Dog

Our beloved Lexyee died during the night. We got her from a shelter where she was kept in a pet carrier while awaiting adoption. She was just over a year old and when we approached the carrier, she snapped at us and withdrew to the back of the carrier. We were determined to give her a good home after we were told she had been abused. We filled out the adoption papers and, since we had two big Siberian Huskies, we had to come back with them so the shelter could be sure they all got along. I worried the Huskies would misbehave and we wouldn't get to keep her. Me and my sister waited outside with the Huskies while our other sister went to get Lexyee. Those two Huskies couldn't have behaved better! They welcomed her with open paws and they were best friends from that day forward. Now sadly, all three of them are gone - but I know they are all back together now and somewhere, she's showing them who the real boss is - just like she did the first day they met.
