Mitzey the American Shorthair Cat

On the 1st of February 2002 I had revieced the best gift I could ever hope for; a ginger kitten. Mitzey was so beautiful and everyone loved her from the moment I brought her home. The first week I had her I was only 8 years old, and I accidently let her out of the house in the morning. I was so upset, because all we did for a whole fourtnight was go looking for her; until we gave up. One morning I went outside before school and I heard a cat crying; I instantly knew it was Mitzey. I looked over the fence and there she was. Sitting there looking at me. I was relieved; and happy. In the end I got her back and promised her; and myself that I'd never let anything happen to her ever again. Six years later; I was thirteen. And that was the worst year of my entire life. I was in the bedroom; and down the other end of the house I heard crying, so I went down there to see what it was; It was coming from the front yard so I went out there, I saw my mum in tears, then I saw Mitzey laying on the ground crying. I straight away picked her up and took her to my bedroom. We rang the vet and took her in; they said that she'd shattered some of her bones near her tail; and that her tail had no feeling left in it. From there we took her to another vet the next day who said to keep bringing her in for another two weeks. So we did. After two weeks there was still no recovery, and he said that she'd hafto be put down. But then I ended up in tears so the vet said he'd give her another two weeks on the medication. So we took her in everyday for another two weeks. But there was still no recovery and she'd definately hafto be put down. I was in tears; as was my mum and sister. Seeing her get that needle was the worst thing I'd ever experienced. I miss her every single day; she ment everything to me, and now she's gone :[ Rest in peace angel
