Dougie the German Shepherd Dog

Dougie was 'my little king' - every morning he sat with me in the garden and we had our quiet time - we would look up at the sky at the planes leaving the various London Airports and would tell him all the places they might be going - then in the late summer and early Autumn the sky would be criss-crossed by the Canadian Geese toing and froing. He was completely fascinated by them.
On his last day with me we sat in the garden as usual at about 6.30 am, but the Geese had all gone away for the Winter - so we just watched the planes going overhead. At 10.30am that morning 'my boy' had his fatal heart attack in our field - he didn't know what had hit him - but his Mumma was with him till the end. He was the best friend a family could have.
He loved all of us and was loved by us all in return. We still miss him so much.
God Bless Dougie.
