I just adopted the cutest black baby holland lop, Oreo. She is the sweetest thing. She will fall asleep in your arms like a baby. Anyone looking for a rabbit breed this is a perfect breed. They are great with kids.

Do you own a holland lop, or are you thinking of getting one? When you think about buying supplies for your bunny, keep in mind their general face and head structure. They do need a wider feed crock to avoid irritating their eyes and nose, and to actually be able to fit their face in to eat. Please litter train your holland lop or provide him with bedding such as carefresh or similar. They have such a bold eye and a cute, short nose that shavings, even aspen, can irritate their membranes and cause watery eyes and sneazing. For the wellbeing of your pet, consider what your specific breed may require to maintain health and be comfortable in your home. ~Diane Gonzalez from IL

My new baby boy, Charlie is the first rabbit I have owned, and I have loved every second of it! Rabbits make wonderful friends! All it takes is a little patience and love! I love my baby boy Charlie!

I read the article on rabbits and other animals. While it is true that dogs and cats can possess a danger to rabbits, they can also be best friends, if introduced properly, and supervised. Our cat took a few weeks until he could be trusted with this new brother, Peanut the Holland Lop. When I couldn't find either of them, all I had to do was look in my sons room. They would be piled upon his bed ,or under his bed. When our beloved little Peanut passed away last year, our cat mourned for him. There are many articles on the web about introducing rabbits to cats, so don't rule out those special animal friendships. They take some work, but Hollands are a wonderful, sweet, and friendly breed. They are very loyal, and a good listeners. I enjoyed many early morning cups of coffee, with a cat curled up at my feet, and a bunny on my lap.
