Opinions - American Sable Rabbit Breed

A friend of mine raises show winning American Sables, and the BOB buck that I got to hold and go over was a beautiful rabbit! It was one of the most solid meat type rabbits I have ever had the pleasure to check out ( I have raised New Zealands for years). The fur was extremely soft, not quite as soft as the rex, but close! He was gentle and did not mind me stroking him at all. This is a great breed for those who want a dual purpose meat/show rabbit. It would also make a good pet bunny as long as it's large size is taken into account. I liked these rabbits so much that I am going to get a trio of them! I can see myself patting one of these super bunnies for hours as I watch TV on a cold winter evening!
