I think the American Fuzzy mini lop is a great pet I have a one yr. old one who is calm and great! These rabbits love to run to burn some energy. One thing I have experienced is that do NOT give them grapes it will make them sick and will die if you do not catch it quick enough! These are really great pets!

American Fuzzy's can be very nice or can be very skiddish! I like these rabbits because they have a attitude that often changes which is why I like them. I have noticed that grapes make them sick so I rarely give them grapes! I just started breeding them about a year ago! Other than their tempers changing they are very nice and can make good pets!

I own an American Fuzzy Lop rabbit and she's as sweet as can be! She's well behaved and is litter trained, so I let her run around the house freely! I notice the other comments about owners feeding their rabbits grapes.. I've fed my fuzzy grapes before, as long as it's sparingly (ie, one a day) and it doesn't seem to bother her. I also feed her other fruits sparingly (such as banana and apples) and plenty of vegetables and it hasn't upset her stomach thus far.

I currently own and show eight AFLs. They are great rabbits and all have different personalities. When they become seniors (6months) their fur becomes very easy to care for. Some require grooming about once a month while others, believe it or not, require barely any grooming other than trimming toe nails and washing stains. AFLs are the best rabbits!
