We purchased an AFL as a family pet because my husband is allergic to cats. From the day we brought him home he has been soooo sweet. We have a 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son and Patches isn't afraid of either of them. He hops down his ramp and binkies across the living room floor like he has always lived here. When he gets tired, he kicks over on his side and naps, right in the middle of the floor. And we have been blessed because he has done very well with the litter box! I would definitely recommend one as a pet, just make sure you do your research. I think our experience has been enhanced because we knew more than most first-time buyers. ENJOY!

I've seen these at the fair, and they are VERY cute. They seem easy to handle and very shy, too. I'm thinking about getting one this year.

Yes, they are very sweet. I have 1 and his name is Spongebob. He is very friendly loves to eat potato peelings, tortilla chips and of course rabbit pellets.
