I think the "profile" for the Appaloosa needs some MAJOR updating. Classified as suitable for "ranch/riding/trail" only? I'm sure my successful Appaloosa eventers, hunter/jumper and dressage horses would be surprised to learn they are/were not suitable for those disciplines. Not to mention the Appaloosa racing industry!

I suggest you find someone who actually knows something about horses to address the breed profile. We use 3 appaloosa's on our ranch to work cattle. I am breeding my mare to a 3 time World Champion cutting horse this spring. And he's an Appaloosa. They obviously opened a very old book to get their info. Sparse manes and tails are almost unheard of now. Endurance riders often use a Appaloosa. Smart, tough, and few injuries is what they get. Appaloosas can do it all. You better stick to cats and dogs if that's the kind of info your site offers. I think I'll pass on getting info from you in the future.
