Willow, my 7 month old female is an absolute joy. When I first began researching the breed, I was a bit apprehensive about getting one because they are reported as being strong-willed and difficult, and prone to separation anxiety. However, she has not been that way at all. She practically housetrained herself in about 2 weeks. She is intelligent and easily learns commands. Willow is a people pleaser. She shares her home with 2 mini Dachshunds, and even that has not been a problem except Willow wants to play more than they do. Willow has been crate trained - the crate has become her security and her comfort zone. A large yard or a daily walk/run is a necessity for Weimaraners.
