Sadie is the sweetest little thing. She is tolerant of our 2 years old granddaughter and loves to go to the hospital to cheer the sick up.

My mom bought a Yorkie about 10 years ago, she was 14 months old and a victim of a puppy mill her hair was the wrong color, she was too long and her chest bone sticks out a little. These conditions left her useless to the mill owner because she was not show quality so my mom found her in the news paper a few months after our first yorkie sadie had died and jumped at the oppurtunity. our little yorkie's name is shilo and she is very loyal and protective of my mom but as a result of being stuck in a kennal the first 14 months of her life she is very timid and scares eaisily, she is often hiding and is a one person dog (that person happens to be my mom). i believe that had she been born to a kind breeder or just a pet that her quality of life would be much better now even after 10 years of being in a loving home.

The reason i am telling shilos story is because i want anyone who is planning on buying a yorkie to avoid any pet shops at all costs (almost all of them buy from puppy mills even if they say they dont)if you are looking for a yorkie first go to your local shelter they do have puppies and pure breeds too (we got our pure brittany spaniel at one) they are much cheaper and offer animals that are used to human contact and are very loving. even if it is a mixed breed it will make a lgreat companion. please please DO NOT go to pet shops or comercial breedersdo research on puppy mills if you want to see why. if you buy from these facilities you are supporting puppymills which sucks bad!!!!!!

My little Yorkie is one of the sweetest little dogs you will ever find. He was given to me this summer and I have fallen in love with him. There isn't enough money out there to ever buy him from me. His name is Teddy, and my baby.

My dog Mindy is a Yorkie and she is not a show dog so we cut her hair. If your Yorkie is not a show dog or anything consider trimming their hair because they can get around easier and it's more comfortable for them.

I have had several different breeds of dogs but I have to say that the Yorkie is my favorite. They are easy to care for and are very loving little dogs. My baby Lielo came to me right before my son passed away and she has been such a great comfort to me. I don't know what I'd do without her.
