Opinions - Standard Poodle Dog Breed

Being a handler and groomer of standard poodles, I just want to let the writer of this site know that standard poodles originated in Germany and it was the French who took the breed and bred them down to miniature and toy. I am not trying to make anyone look dumb, just wanting to correct the site info.

I have a 3 year old Black Standard Poodle. She is the best dog I ever had. She loves being groomed. She sits still for me for 2 or 3 hours when I give her a hair cut. She hoops in the tub when she's asked. She loves to retrieve anything. I can't throw it far enough. She rides in the car for hours and is always ready to go again. She has so much personality. She is always happy! She loves kids and plays well with other dogs. She demands a lot of attention but we love to give it. She is not for someone who is looking for a dog that doesn't take much of their time. She doesn't need much space so a small home works great for such a big dog. She likes to bark but wouldn't hurt a fly. Standard Poodles are the best!

I love this breed. Standard Poodles are so intelligent. They are agile, fun and loyal. They love to play and run. This poodle is wonderful with children and a great friend. Poodles don't shed. What more could you want in a dog!
