I love this breed. Standard Poodles are so intelligent. They are agile, fun and loyal. They love to play and run. This poodle is wonderful with children and a great friend. Poodles don't shed. What more could you want in a dog!

I love these dogs. They are fun, funny, loving and protective. They are incredible athletes; especially running and swimming. I have two poodles; Susie Lee and Anna Banana. Susie Lee plays water volleyball and usually wins.

The Standard Poodle did not originate in France. It originated in Germany where it was bred as a hunting dog, a water retriever. That's how the "poms" came about...to insulate the joints.

We have an 8-yr old standard poodle. He is excellent with children, loves to tease and play, and he is very intelligent! Many people are not attracted to any poodle because when they look at pictures of them they have the show cut look, and are not cute like a new puppy, but most families do not cut like that. if you are looking for a dog, get a standard poodle! they are excellent guard dogs too!

We are so happy to be lucky enough to adopt a six year old stardard poodle (or she adopted us) three months ago. She has enriched our lives with her poise, beauty & intelligence. She is funny and really has a humorous nature. She makes an excellent guard. She is 70 lbs of love. For some reason she has bonded more to me, maybe because I picked her out of her circumstances. She never lets me leave her sight and behaves so well. I am so happy that she is in our lives and would recommend this gentle breed to anyone. I'm sooo lucky!
