Added on Jan 1st, 2008 We had a Rotty when I was growing up. She was a large dog of about 135 lbs. We got her when I was about 8 and had her for 7 years. She was one of the best dogs i ever had. She even slept with me on my bed every night for 7 years. I couldn't have ask for a better friend or dog.

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I have had my Rottie for 10 years now. She's in great health, and is my very best friend. - She still runs around like a puppy!! I love this breed, but do recommend that anyone considering one think long and hard about it. Rotties are stubborn, and will always challenge you and keep you on your toes. If you put forth the time and effort to train and love your Rottie though, you will have a loyal companion who will give you nothing but love. They're really just big teddy bears who need lots of hugs and kisses!

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I just want everyone to know that I own a rottie, and she is the most loyal and protective dog I've ever had, and she's great with children!!!

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 We have two rotties currently, and had two others previously. This breed is our favorite as they are incredibly loving, loyal and one of the best companions in the world! I hope to never go through a part of life without one.

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 It's sad that this noble breed has earned such a bad reputation. Several Rotties have been part of our family throughout the years, and they're a wonderful breed of dog: loyal, protective, loving, sweet-natured, and great with kids. Our Rottie, Chief, even adores our cat! A perfect dog for any family.
