Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I have a 9 month old fawn male Pug and he is the most gorgeous loving creature ever! If anyone is thinking about buying a Pug they must be prepared for the shedding, they shed every day of their life. A thing to be aware of is if they ever need to go under anesthesia, it is very important that the vet knows the risks it can cause, some forms of anesthetic can actually stop their heart and too much is also dangerous, they need a lot less than you think. They also love their food so be careful you don't feed them too much. I would highly recommend anyone to get this breed, they are so friendly and loving and always want to be your little baby.

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 Pugs are easy to housebreak to a dog litter box. my pug homer is 20 months old and I have no problem with this. He only goes outside to play, and waits to come inside before he goes "potty in the box". If you live in a condo, have problems with walking, or work this is very convenient.

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I have a fawn pug named Tinker who is 3 yrs old. I agree with the snoring and shedding. He is very comical and when you laugh at a pug they love it. He never meets a stranger, he barks but is not much of a watch dog, if a burglar broke in he would love them to death. Great dog with other dogs, children, and adults. They do drink a lot of water.
