From Sarah (aka Shorty), California Pointers are the best dogs. My pointer puppy is so energetic, fun, tough and
loving, even though we caught him as a stray. As soon as I took Bruiser home, he
trusted me. Bruiser is a very independent dog, much like any other pointer. Even
more, his drooping chin makes him so irresistible. While teaching my puppy the
basic tricks, you have to do one at a time until he masters a single trick. If
you're smart, you'll take a beautiful pointer into your caring environment.

From Juliana C., Atlanta, GA I have a pointer, and I must say, that pointers are very good with kids. He
is very alert and will let you know if there is someone who he doesn't know near
you! He's a good guard dog. He's not vicious, but he will defend you. He is a
good loyal dog. I really like this breed.
