From Annie, Philippines I have a 5 yr old female miniature schnauzer and from experience, they are
such wonderful companions. They're very sweet, playful, lovable, and
intelligent. schnauzer_power@yahoo.com
From "swamps42", Colorado These dogs can get much larger up to about 25 pounds. I have a mini
schnauzer and he is 22 pounds. These are the greatest apartment dogs. They do
not need a lot of space. All of the mini schnauzers I have had have had separation
anxiety problems. This may be common in the breed.
From Courtney Tully, Connecticut
I love Miniature Schnauzers, and I highly recommend
them for anyone looking for a dog. They adapt
quickly to any situation and are great companions
for families or the elderly. I do need to correct
the breed description, though. Mini Schnauzers come
in solid black, salt & pepper, as well as black
& silver. Their official size is 12 - 14 inches
at the shoulder, not 13 - 14 inches. Their AKC group
is not Non-Sporting, it is Terrier. Their coat can
be harsh and wiry if it is stripped like the show
dogs, but pet schnauzers are normally clipped and
this causes the coat to be quite soft.

I've had my little Ally for 2 years now &
I wouldn't trade her for anything! I decided
on a mini-schnauzer because my parents have
owned one (Molly) for 7 years. They have so
much personality and spunk! And, on top of
that, they are very cunning and clever. Ally
never fails to bring a smile to my face every
day! She's my little clown.
