Our Readers' Comments on This Breed

From Tammy, Maine
My Irish Wolfhound, "Grinch" was the best dog I've ever had. He was funny and kind, and had a huge heart full of love for his family. He was 7 feet tall when he stood on his hind legs, and he weighed 165 lbs. They have no clue that their body is huge, and insist on being a lap dog, even when they have grown as big as the couch. They are rough on furniture and breakables, as they have a whip tail that can fling a glass vase 20 ft.  Other than that their only flaw is that they only live to be about 7 years old. My beloved Wolfhound has passed on, but someday I will find another that will touch my heart and I will be proud to call him "friend." facesthebadger@uninets.net
