I have two cockers. One just turned 15 the other on her way to 2. I think that they can be the most loving, fun, funny breed, but do need extra special care. they are very smart, and try to outsmart you all the time. They take punishment to heart, which makes it difficult to reprimand. On a scale from1-10, they are a 10, but very high maintenance, and need lots of love and attention from the get go. I would not have it any other way, mine are the loves of my life!

We have two Cockers, Maggie and Patch. Maggie is 8 mo. and Patch is 5wks. behind her. They have finally agreed that I am boss #1, but they are still deciding who will be boss #2. They are as different as they can be, especially considering they have the same father, but different mothers. However, they both are energetic, loving, a little stubborn, and have been fairly easy to train. We carry treats in our pockets to give them at the time the do their business. For us, that worked better than waiting until we're back inside.

I have one cocker spaniel her name is Grace. She is very loving and caring. She's a little stubborn I'll admit. But over all I wouldn't have her any other way. My sister lisa and I think of her as are baby sister. Because she acts like a little kid. She's a great watch dog to. If someone walks up to the door she's up and on it in a flash. And if anyone is considering getting a dog you should get a Cocker spaniel.

Since you have two spaniels I would like some advice if possible please. I have a 4 year old working cocker spaniel named jersey. He is so loving and takes everything to heart. He is my soul mate and follows everyone in the house around. We all love him to bits and he is very intelligent. We are considering taking another one on from the same breader we got jersey. Jersey is all black. This time the new pups are brown. They are due to be born in june. I'm abit concerned that jersey will not take to this pup because of being the baby of the family for 4 years. If this is a good idea. Do you think a dog or bitch? Jersey is a male and has been doctored.
thanks jackie
