I bought my wire haired at a breeder in Herborn, Germany.. Her name is Lolaand she is a very funny and lovable dog. She weighs 16 pounds and is 3 years old. Lola is a very curious dog, likes to steal socks and other clothes. She loves our cat, Max, but the cat does not like her. Overall, she is a very cuddly and playful dog with a great temperament (though she does not obey all the time).

We have a wonderful black mini daschund. She is very cuddly but also very territorial. I was wondering if anyone could help with this problem. I would like people to come and visit without being scared of her. I don't want to pen her up all the time. She nipped the leg of a repairman that came in. Please help if you can. Thanks.

I have a mini daschund named Jasmine who just turned 1 yrs old. She is also lively, curious, and very expressive. I love it when she sits on her bottom and lifts up her 2 front paws--she learned this trick all by herself!

I have a year and 3 month old miniature black and tan dachshund named Tequila Sunrise at Morning- I call her KiKi. She is very tiny weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs. I love her and spoil her. She expects to be treated as royalty. Her good Points: Sweet disposition, loves people (especially men), loves to play with other dogs (of all breeds), she loves children. Her bad points: barks continuously at cats, very hyper, stubborn, destructive ( she destroyed the vinyl in my kitchen by digging it up), and even though she is a spayed female she seems to have a need to mark territory. I say that because she is good at doing all her business outside but she will actually try to squeeze out as much urine as she can on my carpet. It is usually only a small amount but it is very frustrating. I love her dearly but do not think I would ever choose another dachshund. I want a sweet, cuddly, calm, and obedient lap dog.

My dachshund has always been Very protective of his family members. He just hates strangers, but after he sniffs a stranger and see that we accept them , he will. He is most loyal to my mom ( he's her baby!). He loves to be covered with blankets, loves to sleep, lay on his back and in the sun. He does not do well with other animals. His bark sounds like something much of a bigger dog.
