From Sharon, North Carolina I find my black short-haired Daschund to be very family-oriented.
Though I've tried, he will not socialize with any people or pets outside of the
family. He is smart, courageous, alert, healthy, perky, happy and
sometimes stubborn. He's definitely a hunting dog. (sharongc@yahoo.com)
From Carolyn, Kemp, Texas I have two of these lovely and lively dogs. They have very distinct
personalities. They are also very protective of their territory. They often try
to chase away much larger dogs. carolynmdgt@aol.com
From Dori, Florida My dog is definitely a lap dog. She is smart and energetic. She is eager to
please us but loves to chase lizards and bark at cats and deer outside our
fence. She understands "out" "cookie"
"lie down" "no". I love her.
From Michelle Osborne, Amarillo, Texas When I got married my husband said he only liked German Shepherds. I had a
mini-daschund. He spent time with her, fell in love and now we have two girl
mini-daschunds. The "girls" go everywhere with him. Now he tells
people he only likes mini-daschunds and German Shepherds. They don't like other
animals and are scared around kids they don't know, but we love them anyway.
From Donna Foster, Pennslyvania I have two wonderful daschunds. there names are Mickey and Jigger. Mickey is
a long black hair mini he has a bad habit of eating paper. They are the most
wonderful dogs to own. (dove75@comcast.net)
