sounds like this breed is very good with a small family.
From Katie, New York We got our Cairn Terrier a year ago at a shelter. She was 10 months old. She
was so hyper at first but over the year has calmed down a lot. We live in a
townhouse and were looking for a lap dog that doesn't shed. We absolutely love
her. She has so much character. And she's so adorable.
From Talia, Chicago According to this site, Cairn Terriers are "moderate" with
children. However, I have had my dog for almost 12 years and he has been the
most wonderful dog with children. He is VERY gentle. I would classify cairn
terriers as wonderful with children.

playful, loving and good-natured dog. My one year-old loves everyone she
meets and is a beloved friend not only to my family, but to our neighbors, too!
