Added on Jan 1st, 2008 By Gemma Hatfield - Kentucky This makes my third boxer - first and second lived 10 & 12 years - I have a 9 week old puppy now - she is adorable and I really love boxers. They are a perfect family dog, and very protective of their owner.

Can anyone recommend a good food to feed a boxer? there are so many different ideas out there, I just want good information.

I have only owned one Boxer in my life - Dottie, who is my first and only dog - but they have always been my favorite breed of dog, along with Doberman. They are energetic, fun, mental, nutcases and yet they have so many expressions and are so loving - if someone leaves a room, Dottie will follow them. Someone sits or lies on the floor, Dottie will..sit on them (no joke). If she is happy, there's no containing her tail - it wags like mad, and even her bum starts moving. She's stubborn though - she knows the command 'sit' but if she doesn't want to sit, she won't. Unless you get the cheese out. They're slobbery but unless you own one, you know your unconditional love for your dog will let you put up with everything. Even their smelly wind. P.S We need a harness for ours because she pulls like heck otherwise.
