From Erin, San Diego County Beagles are head strong and harder to train than other dogs. They are
diggers and runners. They are also sweet and cuddly and I wouldn't trade my
Snoopy dog for any other.
From Heather, Holland These breeds are so cute that they are my favorite breed of dog. Thank god
for making them so cute
From Ruth Ford, ON, Canada I own a beagle. I have had him for three years now and he is the best!
I have had him since he was 7 weeks old. I don't know what I would do
without him! He has saved my life several times and now he is my service
dog helping me everywhere I go! I recommend beagles because they are
loving, gentle and they will do anything to help their owner as I found out a
year ago when I started having seizures. Beagles are not large and they are not
small! They are just the Best!
From Melissa, Texas Beagles are very good with children and very loyal. They also tend to be
very sensitive.
From Adam, Pittsburgh I own a beagle for about 9 or 10 years before we had to put him to sleep.
An extremely loving dog that was very obstinate and headstrong. He learned
tricks (sit, stay, fetch) but would only take commands indoors. Outdoors,
he'd play dumb (though it was obvious he was very smart). I agree with all of
the ratings given except exercise. My beagle was the most hyperactive dog,
and required at least a couple of hours running around the yard a day plus walks
around the neighborhood. Once you gave him that though, he was very quiet
around the house. Excellent breed though, very enjoyable if not frustrating
at times.
