From Sam, Ontario, Canada A shy Aussie is a super shy dog. Alone he was lost. With a second dog to
keep him company he came out of his shell.
From Marti Lynn, Laguna Hills, California I have the most awesome Australian shepherd, Jake. They are very smart,
loyal, active, kid- loving and protective dogs. If you have the room and time to
have one of these precious animals I would highly recommend it. If not please don't
consider it: they need lots of exercise and it is very, very , unfair to just
keep them in a house or back yard with no attention. blazingbrunette7@hotmail.com
From "Aussie girl", Kansas I have a aussie and she is wonderful with kids! They are very good dogs! maciloughrea@aol.com

I have owned an Australian Shepherd for 1 yr. and found I wouldn't want no other
breed. My Aussie has shown me how smart he is. I got him from a private rescue.
I'm so happy with this breed that I'm proud to brag about him. He already knew
the basics which now knows a varity of tricks which I have taught him and
now he will be entered in dog shows which I'm happy to show him off. I have had
mixed breeds in the past but, Garth is my favorite of all breeds. sanbob@friend.ly.net
From Nancy Ellis, CA
We had an outdoor, urban Aussie mix for six years. She broke out of the fence
July 3. She was the greatest dog for our family because she was kid friendly and
very protective of our yard. Yard protection sounds rather silly but in Fresno
we have a rat problem, but not with our Aussie mix. We'll keep posting the
posters and visiting the shelter because no other dog could take her place!
