We have two dachshunds (8 years and 6 years) and one poodle (which just turned 4 years). After having the poodle, me and my husband decided to stay with this breed only. Bentley has no dog smell and the non-shedding part is a big deal for us. Very refreshing is that he is so smart and it is fun to show him new tricks. He picks up new commands in an instant. Poodles only like their owners, so he is not comfortable with strangers, which a lot of people think of a stuck up breed and puff dogs which I also don't believe because we keep the coat of our poodle short. Don't get me wrong, the dachshunds are our babies too and we love them dearly ... but ... the poodle is special.
