An Afghan Hound can be a wonderful, actually humorous, friend in a fur suit.
Very loving, but doesn't show it all the time (not needy). Sometimes
playful, sometimes seeks solitude, sometimes full of mischief (nests in the
dirty clothes just when you want to start washing them, or will contort and flop
in order not to be brushed). They are brilliant, able to figure things out
quickly - with a treat and praise every time, you can potty train one in a week
(it's intense that first week taking a dog outside every hour or two, but WELL
worth it).
