Cat Mom
Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I never thought I would ever own another cat (had one growing up) nor did I ever suspect a long-haired cat as I am slightly allergic. I wanted a DOG!!! Everything changed when I met Sky, A.K.A., Ms. Kitty. I got her at 6 years old (her original owners left her at a shelter) and she's been my furry child ever since. My allergies are barely effected by her. She has an amazing personality, talks all the time and is a total diva (will sit and meow outside of her litter box if its not to her liking). Even people I know that are NOT 'cat' people adore her. Her grooming can be a pain and yes, she is a real handful at the groomers and unless you are a certified groomer, I do not recommend trying to groom (nails and shaving) on your own. Her fur is not too bad though and daily brushing helps. The best thing? She is NOT a destroyer, just a lover. She does not care about human food ,plants or even my furniture...she loves her scratching post and to play!

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I adopted Princess from a local rescue organization. She is such a joy! Sweet, intelligent, curious, and playful, she has been a delightful addition to my family. She loves to be brushed, and enjoys our grooming sessions so much that I have never had to take her to a professional groomer - ever! I have been fortunate to share my life with other pet cats, but never a Himalayan before our Princess. I would consider another Himalayan in a heartbeat! Princess is a true loving companion, and her gentle, sweet spirit brings such joy to my life.

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I have had my Persian cat Brownie for 5 years . He is loving and gentle. He comes to the bathtub to get a drink of water and plays in there for hours. He is the sweetest cat my mom and I have ever owned.

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I have an adorable black Persian, 14 years old. He is very ill with kidney problems (renal insufficiency) heart problems, arthritis. I love this cat so much and will be very sad if he goes. I know he will. Persians seem to be prone to all sorts of health problems, esp. kidney, runny eyes, cystitis, you name it., but the love and affection you will experience will make it all worth while.

Added on Jan 1st, 2008 Our Lola is mostly blue (or gray), with four white socks and what I call a white "garter" on her thigh. She's about 6 months old and absolutely a princess. Very dainty, yet she walks away dripping from her water dish, falls-off of everything - not always landing so neatly either. She's so funny, loves to play, but she seems a bit timid at times. We're hoping she'll warm up more. We've not experienced any health problems so far, but she's very young. We've also a 12 year old Siamese who tolerates little Lola very well (for the most part).
