Added on Jan 1st, 2008 I have a Norwegian Forest Cat. I have met more than one and they are a very friendly, loyal breed. Their coat is not that hard to groom, but you should brush it every once in a while. I have to say, though, the breed is a big hunting breed. They most likely will leave "presents" at your door. They are very good outdoor or indoor cats. Mine is both. I love this breed. naturejjc@aol.com
Added on Aug 30th, 2008 I have recently adopted 2 - 1yr old Norwegian Forest Cats. They are the most people oriented, fun loving, active kitties. Both are bright, alert and incredibly self assured. They possess beautiful coats, that do need maintenance as they do mat. They love children and will play for hours on end. Have places where they can jump up because they love heights. My female jumps straight up the side of the doorway to a height of about 4 feet! She also never stops "talking". Do not adopt this breed if you are looking for a quiet pet
