I have two cats, one of them is a Maine coon and between them their personalities are totally different! The Maine coon is more relaxed and quite and doesn't ruin your furniture. The Maine coon is loving and loves to have companion. I also have a Rabbit and The main coon gets along with him sowell as apposed to my other cat who doesn't at all. I trust The Maine coon with my guests and little children because its very friendly towards them, doesn't hiss or bite, again not like my other cat. If your getting a new cat defiantly consider a Maine Coon!

I have had cats all my life and loved each one for their unique personalities. Molly is my first Maine Coon and I am totally in love with him! He is by far the best cat I have ever had as a companion. Affectionate, gentle, clever and playful. Coons are beautiful to look at and are blessed with a beautiful personality as well! Molly follows me from room to room and loves nothing more than being cuddled or sleeping at my feet. They are quiet kitties and wont yell or make loud calls - just a very appealing chirruping noise when they are happy or want something. If you have small children or someone in your family that is mentally or physically challenged I would very highly recommend a Maine Coon kitty! You won't regret it!
