They are very territorial when it comes to something they know is there's. The breed is known as a worker cat and they usually like cooler temps due to the amount of fur and loves to climb!

Mine is 21yrs young, he has had no health problems and still runs around like a kitten. He is very loveable and well mannered.

Maine Coons are the most wonderful companions. My Alex (soon to be 18) has been Mr. Personality his entire life. If you love to be followed, talked to, jumped upon and most importantly, loved, then a Maine Coon is the cat for you. One other thing - they will entertain you for hours.

If you're like me and have had many well-loved cats all of your life, THIS is the one you will really think is talking! So sweet and loving without being needy, my Maine Coon makes guests feel special because (unbeknownst to them) he's that friendly and accepting with EVERYONE. We also have a Blue Point Siamese, but 'Pickle" is the real personality in our home. My boyfriend has him trained to behave as a dog might, but he doesn't realize that it only works because Pickle enjoys that type of attention. Highly recommended.
