Best Heating For A Corn Snake

Tools: Email Bookmark Comment

What is the best way to heat my corn snake - using an under-tank heater or a lamp? (Kim Cameron - Ontario, Canada)

This depends very much on your own situation. If you keep corn snakes in a temperate climate you probably don't need to provide very much extra heat. But in Ontario I imagine you do. An under-tank heater is best in situations where the exterior temperature is likely to get cold. A red light should suffice however for readers in warmer locations.
