Do Fringes Annoy Longhaired Dogs?

Tools: Email Bookmark Comment

Are long fringes annoying to long-haired dogs? And do they irritate their eyes? (Jamie Paterson - United Kingdom)

The hair can certainly cause irritation to the eyes, and may also hinder the dog's ability to see clearly. It has been known also for some dogs to appear defensive or aggressive simply because approaching hands are only seen at the last minute and give the dog a fright. It certainly would not do any harm to clip the hair back.
